Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 May 2026

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we keep it safe.

1. Who We Are

SimplyBlog ("we", "our", "us") operates the simplyblog.io platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our Service.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly: name, email address, and payment details when you create an account or subscribe. We collect information generated by your use of the Service: YouTube URLs you submit, blog posts generated, publishing activity, and usage metrics (e.g. generations used). We collect technical data automatically: IP address, browser type, device information, and cookies for session management and analytics.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: provide and operate the Service; process payments via Stripe; send transactional emails (account confirmation, billing receipts); improve AI output quality and platform features; respond to support requests; and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) hosted on secure cloud infrastructure. We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), access controls, and regular security reviews. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure — we cannot guarantee absolute security but take reasonable steps to protect your data.

5. Third-Party Services

We share data with third parties only as necessary to provide the Service: Stripe for payment processing (see Stripe's Privacy Policy); Supabase for database hosting; Anthropic and/or Google for AI content generation (your prompts may be processed by their APIs); and Dev.to when you choose to publish content there. Each third party has its own privacy practices.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and authentication state. We may use analytics cookies to understand how the Service is used. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect functionality.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your account and associated data; object to or restrict certain processing; and data portability. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@simplyblog.io. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 90 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g. billing records may be kept for up to 7 years).

9. Children's Privacy

SimplyBlog is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or via an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

11. Contact
